It started at my grandma’s house, that creative itch. We would sew, bake or make little beaded images. It makes sense now why I feel connected to myself when I’m creating, because that’s how I spent my childhood. I would experiment with new ingredients in the kitchen or mess around with camera settings. I was never a professional, just a creative.

What is a multi-creative? A multi-creative is an artist who explores her talents and passions freely, without material or subject constraints. Also known as an artist who has no idea what she would niche in. But that's the fun about being creative, there’s endless possibilities.

I once wanted to be an art teacher, but ended up studying graphic design while playing division 1 volleyball in college. I took many art classes in college where I discovered drawing with Sharpies and have adapted that as my most specific skill. I started freelance graphic design and have built a portfolio of graphic design skills including animation and illustration. When I bought a home, I started to lean into physical art and how it made my space feel. Now, most of my inspiration comes from my home and the environment I’ve created here with my family.

Since I always felt the most myself being creative, I knew art would play a large role in my postpartum experience. My first postpartum experience was not so nice, so I knew I had to find a way to prioritize making art postpartum the second time around. Latte Letters was born to motivate me to at least make 1 piece of art a month. It has blossomed into so much more, a community of people appreciating the art of vulnerability.

Being an artist is much more than putting pen to paper, it’s a lifestyle and a choice to find the beauty in all things god has provided.
